Terms of Use

Welcome to Lavora. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Lavora mobile application ("App") operated by Lavora ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Lavora. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you may only use the App with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you represent that you meet these age requirements.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features of the App, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

You may sign in using Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or email authentication. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Use of the App

3.1 Permitted Use

Lavora is a platform that connects buyers and sellers of fashion items in Jordan. You may use the App to:

  • Browse, search, and discover fashion items listed by other users.
  • List your own fashion items for sale or rent.
  • Communicate with other users regarding listed items.
  • Manage your store, track your listings, and view analytics.

3.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • List counterfeit, stolen, or illegal items.
  • Post false, misleading, or deceptive listings or information.
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Jordanian law.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
  • Impersonate another person or entity.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other user accounts, or our systems.
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or collect data from the App.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers.
  • Post inappropriate, offensive, or explicit content.
  • Circumvent or manipulate the App's rating or review system.
  • Use the App to spam or send unsolicited messages.

4. Listings and Transactions

4.1 Seller Responsibilities

If you list items on Lavora, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate descriptions, photos, and pricing for your items.
  • Ensure that items are in the condition described in the listing.
  • Fulfill orders and rental agreements in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the sale and rental of goods.
  • Respond to buyer inquiries in a reasonable timeframe.

4.2 Buyer Responsibilities

If you purchase or rent items on Lavora, you agree to:

  • Review listing details carefully before completing a transaction.
  • Communicate respectfully with sellers.
  • Return rented items in the same condition and within the agreed timeframe.
  • Provide honest and fair reviews and ratings.

4.3 Lavora's Role

Lavora is a platform that facilitates connections between buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any transaction between users. We do not own, inspect, verify, or guarantee any items listed on the App. Transactions are conducted directly between users, and Lavora is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any listing or item.

5. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

5.1 Subscription Plans

Lavora offers subscription plans for sellers that provide different levels of listing capacity and features. Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store as in-app purchases.

5.2 Payment and Billing

  • All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Lavora does not directly collect or store your payment information.
  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis according to your chosen plan.
  • Prices are displayed in the App and may be subject to change with prior notice.

5.3 Cancellation and Refunds

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refund requests must be directed to Apple, as all payments are processed through the App Store.
  • Upon cancellation or expiration of a subscription, your account will revert to the free plan, and excess active listings may be paused.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Lavora's Property

The App, including its design, logo, branding, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is the intellectual property of Lavora and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our intellectual property without our prior written consent.

6.2 User Content

You retain ownership of the content you post on Lavora (photos, descriptions, reviews). By posting content, you grant Lavora a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the App.

You represent that you have the right to post all content you submit and that your content does not violate any third party's intellectual property rights.

7. Reviews and Ratings

Users may leave reviews and ratings for other users after completing transactions. You agree that:

  • Reviews must be honest, accurate, and based on genuine experiences.
  • Reviews must not contain offensive, defamatory, or discriminatory language.
  • Lavora reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms.
  • Manipulation of the rating system (fake reviews, review trading) is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination.

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using Lavora, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

9.1 "As Is" Basis

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9.2 No Endorsement

Lavora does not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any item listed by users, any transaction between users, or any advice or information provided by users on the App.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lavora shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to:

  • Losses arising from transactions between users.
  • Damage to or loss of items during rental or sale.
  • Unauthorized access to your account.
  • Service interruptions or data loss.
  • Any conduct of third parties on the App.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lavora, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

12. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms.
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity.
  • Receiving multiple complaints from other users.
  • Posting prohibited or inappropriate content.

You may also delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon account deletion, your profile, listings, and associated data will be permanently removed.

13. Modifications to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App or by sending a push notification. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amman, Jordan.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Lavora regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
